| Navayuga Engineering enters UAE market |
Leading Indian construction firm Navayuga Engineering Co (NEC) has entered the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market with the ground-breaking ceremony of a water-front project by Abu Dhabi's leading master developer Tamouh Investments.
Senior managers of NEC and Tamouh took part in the ground-breaking ceremony for Sector 3, Plot 13 project of the City of Lights at Al Reem Island, 600 metres off the Abu Dhabi coast, an NEC statement said. |

| Indian co to fight Mittal, Posco in Orissa |

| Krishnapatnam port first phase to be ready by June |
When the Rs 8,000-crore Krishnapatnam port in Nellore district is completed fully in 2011-12, it is going to be a major container hub, where the big mother ships could anchor, offload their cargo onto smaller ships.
The first phase of the port, which is being taken up with an outlay of Rs 1,200 crore, would be ready by June 2008 with four berths, far ahead of the original December deadline. |

| Navayuga draws up Rs24,000 cr plans for port, power projects |
Construction company Navayuga Group plans a major expansion into ports and power generation involving investments of around Rs24,000 crore over the next five years.
According to Navayuga chairman Chinta Visweswar Rao, Rs5,000 crore will be invested in enhancing cargo handling at the Krishnapatnam port and Rs12,000 crore in setting up power plants with a 3,000MW cumulative capacity. |

| India's Krishnapatnam port to invest $1.6 bln by 2011 |
Krishnapatnam Port Co., a family-owned start-up on India's east coast, will invest $1.6 billion in a new container and bulk port to profit from the growing trade between Asia's economic giants China and India.
The port, close to the sea trade lanes linking Asia to the Persian Gulf and Europe, is due to open for container ships in June 2008 and will be completed by 2011. |
